Eliminate the Stress, Keep the Excitement of Buying
Buying a boat should feel exciting — not stressful. Our Buyer Assist & Concierge (BAC) program blends captain-led vetting and broker-level execution so you can make confident go/no-go decisions without unnecessary travel. We focus on personal-use buyers, not a charter-first pitch, and we guide you through a smooth close when you’re ready.
Summary
Listings are scattered. Travel is costly. Decisions stall. BAC solves this by pairing a USCG-licensed captain (Master 100-Ton) with a licensed brokerage and integrated services, giving you one coordinated team from shortlisting to offer and close.
What You Get
- Find & Fit Report — A curated shortlist (5–10 boats) with quick pros/cons, likely “gotchas,” and value notes, plus trackable links and a simple priority ranking.
- Remote Walkthroughs — Professional photography, stabilized video, drone perspectives (where permitted), captain notes on observable condition, and a private review call.
- Captain’s On-Water Test (optional) — A practical performance run and systems check from the helm; schedule with or without you present.
- White-Glove Concierge Representation — Strategy, scheduling, offer and negotiation support, survey/close coordination; one team orchestrating the entire process.
- Integrated Moves — On-water relocation or overland trailering coordination through Boht Moves when you’re ready to bring your vessel home.
Credit-Back Promise: When you purchase with Anchor & Trade as your buyer’s broker, we credit eligible diligence (Find & Fit, one Remote Walkthrough, and a portion of a Captain’s Test) at closing within the agreed window.
The Path
- Discovery & Intake — Confirm budget, LOA, geography, must-haves, and whether targets co-broker.
- Find & Fit — Receive your shortlist and decide which boat(s) to advance.
- Remote Walkthrough — We secure access, capture media, deliver your gallery, and host the review call.
- Optional Captain’s Test — Operational checks on the water when conditions and permissions allow.
- Offer, Survey & Close — Draft terms with contingencies, coordinate with independent surveyors, and manage the process through closing.
Guardrails & Assurances
- Scope & Safety: Standard operations focus on LOA ≤ 70’ under Master 100-Ton; larger or tonnage-constrained targets are handled with partner crews and a custom plan. On-water work always depends on seller/marina permissions, weather, insurance, and local regulations.
- Survey: We offer observational as well as full marine insurance surveys. We will always recommend consulting with a certifed independent SAMS/NAMS surveyor before funding a purchase.
- Licensing & Ethics: Operate under Florida Yacht & Ship Broker compliance and USCG captain licensing, with clear agency disclosures. No dual-agency without written consent.
- Geography & Travel: Florida, Georgia, and Alabama follow standard SLAs; out-of-region timing is confirmed case-by-case. Travel beyond 150 miles may require travel-day scheduling and pass-through costs.
- Credit-Back Window: Credits apply only at a successful close within the defined time window and when Anchor & Trade is buyer’s broker of record.
Credibility
Led by Captain Jay Knox, USCG Master 100-Ton and a licensed broker, we integrate our Connected Service Division, The Bohting Company, utilizing Boht Shots for media and Boht Moves for logistics support. This delivers a seamless experience with one point of contact and a vetted service network from discovery through delivery.
