Anchor & Trade was founded to deliver high-quality, custom charters and seamless yacht brokerage services throughout Tampa Bay and Florida’s Gulf Coast. But from the beginning, our vision reached further — to create a smarter, more connected boating experience for everyone.
That vision led to the creation of The Bohting Company (TBC) — a full suite of supporting services including marine flooring, detailing, training, logistics, and a captain network. Today, we’re more than a brokerage or charter provider — we’re your long-term marine partner.
Captain Jay – Co-Founder & Owner
Jay leads all on-water operations and brokerage activity for Anchor & Trade. He is a U.S. Coast Guard-certified 100 Ton Master Captain and a licensed Florida yacht broker, as well as a proud member of the International Yacht Brokers Association (IYBA). Based in Tampa Bay, Jay brings deep local knowledge, unmatched professionalism, and a passion for providing smooth, memorable marine experiences.
With over 20 years of experience on the water, Captain Jay Knox has built a reputation for delivering safe, seamless, and memorable charter experiences. From navigating the Atlantic Ocean to mastering North Carolina’s inland lakes, Jay brings unmatched expertise and calm command to every outing. Now operating in the Greater Tampa Bay area, he offers personalized charters ranging from private cruises to family adventures and corporate outings. a USCG 100 Ton Master Captain, Jay combines deep local knowledge with a guest-first approach to ensure every charter is enjoyable, safe, and professionally run.

Rob Lipski – Co-Founder & Owner
Rob provides strategic leadership across operations, systems, and scaling. With over 20 years in sales and operational leadership at the director level, Rob holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Change Leadership, a BBA in Marketing, and advanced certifications including: SHRM-SCP, CAITL, Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and a CMC.
Originally from Wisconsin and currently based in Michigan, Rob blends inland, Great Lakes and the Caribbean boating experience with structured, people-first business practices.
Brad Scurfield – Co-Founder & Owner
Brad brings a people-centered perspective to Anchor & Trade’s vision. With over 10 years of medical leadership at the director level, Brad holds an MSN, is a licensed RN, and is a Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL). Based in Michigan and an avid outdoorsman, Brad contributes to strategic growth, product evolution, and ensuring a service model built on integrity and consistency.
